Why stay in expensive apartments when there is a fantastic camp site just across the road from the beach at Kamares. This camp site is reasonably priced (which can be negotiated), well equipped and has extremely clean amenities. The staff work non stop. Makis is most welcoming and helpful (even down to his ‘free gift’ of a spare toilet roll.... more

Makis camping is situated in Kamares, small port of Sifnos. Its located behind the beach, some 600m far from the port. The camping is very clean, and there is shade. this site is only 3/4 minutes walk from the ferry port and involves no hills! Don't get in a taxi, even with cases and bags it's no hardship. The site is very well maintained, is clean, quiet and has very good cooking and washing facilities. It is right opposite a beach where the sea is clear and lovely to swim... more

Can highly recommend staying at Makis Camping on the lovely island of Sifnos. It's a short distance from the port of Kamares, and two minutes from the beach. Great facilities for campers, reasonable rates for some lovely rooms (some with sea views) & really friendly and helpful owners. [--] more
