Hermes is the more centrally located hotel in Ermoupolis, Syros. Nice rooms, recently renovated. However, the breakfast is rather poor and there are no non-smoking rooms. Be sure to book a harbour or sea view room, because the rest are rather poor in view (there is no garden, just streets!) more

From reading the reviews, it looks like the Hermes at Kamari (Santorini) and in Syros have been mixed. The Hermes in Syros (Siros) is good. You don't need a transfer - easy walk from the ferry. Hotel Hermes in Kamari is not in the beach or in the center of Kamari but is in a short walk from both. The decoration is beautiful, the people friendly, the place is quiet and relaxing and the food is quite good. For visiting the island you have near a bus station or rent a car/moto office. more
