The lacation of the hotel is great with the beach just across the road. The reataurants bars and shops of Scala is only a ten minute walk away. Stayed at the Papalis for a week at the end of August. Best thing about the hotel is its location - right across the road from the beach and a short stroll to the resort centre of Skala. We had a fantastic 2 weeks at the Paspalis. We thought the rooms were perfectly adequate for what you wanted and if you keep the doors to the shower open when your not using it (nice to have them in the first place) it makes the bathroom look twice as big!!
