I stayed there with a familly 10 days in July 2008. Everything others say is completelly true. Rooms are small, bathroom too, shower curtain is too long, room could be better maintained. The Tara Beach is a basic hotel with beautiful gardens and across the road from the beach. The town of Scala is 5 mins walk away and the Island of Cephalonia is superb. We spent two weeks at the Tara Beach and found the hotel very clean, rooms quite small but set amongst lovely gardens. Set in an ideal situation just across a quiet road to a lovely long beach which never seemed busy and just a few minutes stroll to a good selection of reataurants, all of which served very good meals.... more
