Sofies Studios are about 150 metres from the main road in a quiet back street, remember you have to carry your bags this last bit. The apartment was a reasonable size and had a double and a single bed. There was a sink, fridge; two electric rings and a kettle but you couldn’t cook a hot meal in here. There was a TV but with only Greek stations. The bathroom was also a reasonable size with shower, and shower curtain, and plenty of hot water. The maid only came in twice a week to change sheets/towels and generally clean. The pool area and bar were OK with enough sun beds.
Sofies is good basic accommodation, what was good was the resort of Nidri itself.

The first impression of Nidri was that it was quite a large and bustling resort that might be noisy and busy. It was however peaceful for the number of people around. The main street is fairly narrow with a reasonable amount of through traffic and no real paths, so you need to take care. This runs parallel to the sea front... more
