The front desk staff are one of a kind! One doesn't find staff like that in London hotels- they made our stay a real pleasure. The rear rooms given to us were superb, recently renovated and spacious, excellent beds, with new bath towels each day. The breakfast was buffet and quite generous in variety and freshness. Love the Greek brioche... more

Stayed for four nights. Breakfast Okay. It is central to all facilities and close to bus stop from airport. Hotel could do with an upgrade but Ok for 3 star. Staff very helpful. more

My wife and I stayed in thesaloniki at the El Greco for two nights in September 09. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Central location. Clean facilities. Try to avoid a room on the street side as it will be noisy from the traffic below. Also we had a room beside the red neon light which kept us awake at... more

For tourists in Thessaloniki (and I'm told there aren't too many of them), this is quite a decent little hotel, situated on the main thoroughfare that runs through the city. The subway is under construction so the center lanes of this road are blocked off. But we were there at the weekend, so we didn't hear any actual construction work.... more

I do not understand how this hotel is rated as being in the top 10 in Thessaloniki. Ok, the location is good(close to everything you want to do in the city), the price is good, the staff is frendly but the rooms are bad, the breakfast also, the hotel is quite smely and everything inside looks old. For sure if... more

Staying here with a young child was a positive choice for us, as this hotel has modern, clean rooms, bathroom with bathtub, small bar fridge, and balcony looking over busy Egnatia street with all mod cons. Air conditioning worked well, and the staff where most helpful and friendly. Its probably a good idea to specify whether you would like a... more

The El Greco offers a good location for exploring Thessaloniki, approximately a 15 minute walk to Aristelous Square. It is situated on the busy Egnatia street in a safe area, we stayed on the 9th (top) floor overlooking the street and the traffic noise was very minimal with the window closed. We had a view of the Aegean sea over... more

We (me and my husband) spent 4 nights at El Greco in September 2005 while taking a Greece tour. The hotel is very well located near the centre and with a bit of luck you might find a tax free parking space in the area (the parking fee at the hotel is quite expensive). The rooms are quite spacious and... more
