Just back from two weeks at the Aeolian Village and I didn't want to come home. I went with my partner and we did dinghy sailing (we now have RYA Level 1 and 2 qualifications), waterskiing, moutain biking, walking, kayaking, walking, had tennis lessons and I also went to pilates. We could have done windsurfing as well but I think... more

Concur with the other guests posted before - first time with Neilson, very enjoyable with a large range of activities. Not a 5 star or quite 4 start but the rooms were large. George (the famous chef) is excellent and so were the beach staff. more

We've just got back from a week at Neilson's Aeolian Village in Lesvos, Greece - and it was excellent! We went particularly for the dinghy sailing, which was fantastic, plus we took tennis and windsurfing lessons, and really enjoyed ourselves. Our accommodation (village not hillside) was good without being luxurious, the food was great (George the chef v. friendly!) and... more

a beauifully located hotel on a fabulous island. we used it as a base for site seeing and travel. The quality and selection of food is faultless. Be prepared for the length of airport transfer time. Though activities are all inclusive you are under no pressure to take part. Would mostly recommend to families. School hols will be very busy... more

The food produced by George and the team in the restaurant was great. All the instructors were fantastic (tennis, windsurf, sailing, fitness). The sports facilities and equipment were first class. I would also recommend the spa treatments, particularly as the spa is now an Elemis spa. The only small negative is the location as the transfer from the airport takes... more

We booked directly with Neilson because the deal appeared on one web page and not another so we 'phoned. Flight via Gatwick with Monarch, though they try and sell you nibbles and drinks, THEN feed you - Monarch, don't hide your light under a bushel!. Beware, this may change. Our hol. was Thursday to Thursday & it's going to be... more

What a wonderful resort. We booked this holiday for the location and the island, however we have been truely overwhelmed with the quality of the Neilson experience. The hotel is very clean, tidy and very good quality. The pool, although a little off-putting with its barrier around the edge was lovely. The water-sports and activities are managed brilliantly and there... more

We hadn't taken this type of holiday before, were a little worried it might be too much 'organised fun', and we'd feel obliged to join in with the activities all the time. How wrong we were! There's a wonderfully laidback feel to this resort. I wanted to play tennis (hadn't done it for years so signed up for the beginners... more

Neilson have got most things right here. The staff are fantastic, my kids loved the kids club, and as parents know; happy kids make happy parents! Food, great selection. Rooms, we had interconnecting village rooms, very impressed with the size of rooms, each with its own bathroom. And the best facilities, sailing, water skiing and mountain biking, all fantastic. And... more

My partner and I returned yesterday from a week at this Neilson Beachplus resort. It was a package holiday, so we had no choice as to flights etc. We endured the unpleasantness which is LGW South Terminal and were flown to Mytilene by Monarch. The flight was fine but the comfort level was horrible. I am 6' and my legs... more
