This hotel was supposed to be "First Class" but it was anything but! The decor has not been updated in over 30 years. This hotel is VERY outdated. It could use a serious remodel. The beds were also extremely uncomfortable meaning they were like concrete. We traveled with a group that stayed at this hotel and the opinion was unanimous in that regard. One person's room even had a broken air conditioner. The title says it all! Why would i probably return? Because i am a hotel lover and this is a great hotel that when gets renovated some day soon will have a far better beds (can't practically get anything but better) but might loose this pure 70s, motel-like, style. We stayed here as part of a tour group who use this chain. From the outside it looked more than acceptable but as others have commented on. The hotel had a nice view from the window. The food was alright (typical of Amalia hotel chain). The beds, as usual, were hard. We had a nice little balcony that I found was enjoyable. No complaints since the hotel was walkable to the shops. more
