150 years ago a rich sponge merchant from Hydra had his summer house built on a beautiful isolated spot, North West of the port of the island on a site called Vlychos Plates. During the years, the stone- built mansion changed many owners until the time it passed in the possession of Mr. Antonis Rabias. This is the fully renovated hotel Four Seasons Hydra, surrounded by beautiful gardens full of olive trees and flowers, vegetable gardens and a small farm with chickens , turkeys and ponies. The hotel is located between the beach and the mountains. A perfect spot for the visitor who seeks rest, serenity and peace of mind , away from the noise of the mainland and yet having easy access at anytime either walking for half an hour through the path or by using a sea taxi. There are five beautiful, spacious two - room suites, each one with its own special style and color, each one with fantastic view at the sea or at the mountain as well. The suites are fully equipped for the needs of the guests with facilities including satellite TV, WIFI Internet access, air conditioning , fully equipped bathrooms etc. The beach is literally in front of the hotel providing sunbeds, umbrellas, sowers, and an amazing view of the Dokos island and the coast of Peloponnese. There is also a traditional seaside taverna serving delicious meals, most of them products of our vegetable gardens and seafood catch from the hotel's fishing boat. Life at the Four Seasons Hydra hotel is very simple. It' s like you are at home. The smiling and helpful stuff is the proof of the warm Greek hospitality, the rooms are very special, the services are the proper ones for everybody's needs and the most important of all is that the guest can spend his entire holidays on the spot without moving at all if his is not willing to. He enjoys everything he needs just by staying at our hotel. Of course the transportation to the port of Hydra is very easy either by walking of using a sea taxi at any hour of the day.
