“Quiet Central Location”

We stayed for 1 night in early June 2007, and were probably the only guests in the hotel. We had an excellent corner room, large and airy, with a view out to the square below (ask for room 601). The hotel is 2 blocks off of the seafront, so it is definitely quieter. It is in a former mansion building... more

We loved the Hydroussa Hotel. The drawing room is actually a museum; you feel like you are stepping through the looking glass back into history. The rooms were cosy and clean, heavy wooden furniture and cool floors. Definitely would go back, hydra is an oasis. Sophia more

Our stay wasn't as bad as the other review. First of all we came from staying at the worst three star hotel in Athens imaginable so anything was better. This hotel looked as though it may have been a bit grander in the past but it was clean, comfortable and pretty cute in general. There was no one staying there... more

"Faded glory" might be an alternative title for this review. Stayed here for one night (checked out early) in October 2004. No hot water the day of check in, and none the next morning either in spite of their promise that it would be working.
