Hotel is in a great location. Comes into it's own at night as there is no waiting for buses, taxi's etc.. If you like beaches there are plenty of great ones to choose from, you have to travel, but that's not a problem and part of the fun. Hire a Jeep and go exploring just don't expect the beaches on... more

With the exception of the good location and a reasonable breakfast, I have nothing else to say that is positive about this hotel. The basement room (number 118) was totally unacceptable. my husband and i had been to the alkyon june 2007. we had a side sea view which was wonderful. the bathroom needed updating and had black mold on ceiling but the facilities were clean as was the bedroom. we decided to go back this year as my daughter and her family had booked (thank goodness) apartments in skiathos town... more

Went to Skiathos the last week in August for a wedding the brides parents also stayed at the Alkyon,our stay was spoiled by the most decrepid room I've stayed in since 1979 in fact one of the hotel staff admitted that most of the rooms have had no improvements since 1979!
