Actually, my sister and I stayed at the Hotel Rania in 1992. We were the only guests that September as the hotel was officially closed, but Alex let us stay there since we wanted to be in Skopelos town. He gave us the keys and just asked that we lock up when we went out and water the plants in the courtyard. We had the best room, overlooking the harbor, and rode motor bikes rented from Alex's son-in-law all over the island. It was wonderful!!! We always planned on going back soon, but like kept getting in the way. Even though we are getting to be rather ancient we hope to go again sometime. more
