I have just returned from a week long stay at the Alkistis with my girlfriend. We were mean to be staying at the Aeolos Hotel but on arrival at Skiathos airport were told by Olympic that we had been "upgraded" to this 4 star hotel as they had overbooked the hotel. Not a good start!
First the good points. The pool is absolutely massive and has loads of sunbeds at any time of the day. It really is the best reason to stay here. It also has a lovely pool bar which serves amazing malibu milkshakes. Cocktails were priced around 8 euros. The hotel staff were lovely and could not do enough for us. We also had breakfast included and this was served between 8.30 and 11 in the restaurant overlooking the pool - this was lovely! Our room was situated away from the pool area and was keep extremely clean. It had a fully functional kitchen complete with microwave. The room came with a flat screen tv.
