Stayed here on business, so I have no comment on its "value for money". As a hotel, the staff are not customer focused, and although the hotel has some "charm" (and is clean), I found the room on the top floor with its sloping interior ceiling (not for anyone over 4 feet tall) to be ultimately unsatisfactory. Breakfast basic, but... more

This hotel has a reputation for being elegant and luxurious, which I though would be a perfect finish to a week spent in hostels and on friends' couches. There is a lot of cheap brass and marble around, but this place is not at all luxurious. The once grand hotel is run down with unfriendly staff and terrible food. It's... more

I visited Copenhagen for business (April 2007) together with my colleagues and stayed at Phoenix Copenhagen – a central located hotel. When I was checking in the staff were pretty slow, though they were several persons (some of them did not really pay any attention to us at all). The room was large and well-equipped with a queen size bed,... more

My wife and I stayed at The Hotel Phoenix in Copenhagen on May 20-22. We booked a non-smoking room with a king size bed and received a beautiful modernized room with a courtyard view. Having never been to Copenhagen (it was the last stop on our European Cruise), we wanted a hotel that was within walking distance of key sites... more

I stayed at the Phoenix on a business trip. The hotel has an excellent location (only 200 meters to the main place in Copenhagen). It's an older hotel with an exclusive interior decoration. The standard rooms are somewhat small, but lovely decorated. The bathroom is a bit old and small, too, but okay. I got a reduced price of about... more

Please don't book a room at this extremely expensive but absolutly awful hotel! When I arrived nobody helped me with the luggages. An experience not to repeat. Everything inside smells "old". It's dirty everywhere and my bathroom seems to come from the Second World War! Without any comfort. I think this Hotel is a tourist trap and it has to... more

After our normal hotel "Admiral" was not available, we were booked into the Phoenix. The room was tiny, small single bed pushed up against the wall with one miniature pillow. The mattress was so thin with no pillow top fitted. The shower head looked like it had not been descaled for years, and the one bath towel was extremely worn.... more

I've stayed several times at Phoenix, as for the last 5 years I went to Copenhagen twice a year. Each time I stayed there for two nights, so I don't think I'm a very bad client! However, each time I went there they gave me a smaller room than on the previous stay. The staff at the reception is not... more

This hotel is in a fine old building in a great location, minutes walk from the centre of town. However like many such properties it's somewhat resting on its laurels. My room was small, shabby, and the furniture was just depressing - e.g. a white melamine wardrobe of sub - Ikea standard. The colour scheme throughout the hotel is white... more

This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. Despite my telling the night concierge three times my bag was coming, which was lost on the flight over, they refused my bag and sent it back to the airport. When my company called to check on the bag, they told us they mysteriously checked me out for no reason... more
