If you want a nice friendly quiet hotel in Copenhagen this is the place to go. Although the breakfast is very expensive compared to what you can buy in the restaurants just along the canal, it has a large variety to choose from all of a high standard. Hotel advises of busy times to avoid rush but plenty seating in... more

I stayed at the 71 Nyhaven in September. It is a quaint hotel on the water at the end of a canal. The rooms are unique. The building is not meant to be a hotel, and as such there are timbers through the rooms and it is clear the building has been made to accommodate the hotel, and at times... more

Pros: Location is beautiful, especially if you have a room overlooking the water; staff is friendly; room was quiet except for harbor sounds Cons: Room was very small, hot and old; bed size was tight for two adults; ceiling in bathroom was moldy and ceiling and bathroom door had peeling paint; average continental breakfast was not included in the room... more

The location is a winner here and the only reason to choose this hotel. The best of Copenhagen is within walking distance or a short cab ride. Restaurants: plenty. Ask for a room with a harbour-view. Most of the rooms are very small, even hotels in Paris offer more space! But cozy and with a good flatscreen tv. Bathroom is... more

Thank you very much for taking your time to submitting your comment. Concerning our 4 star rating, I can tell that it is based on the classification system by Danish Hotel Association, HORESTA. The hotel is inspected yearly to determine if our rating complies with the classification standards. The comment about the price of the breakfast is taken into further...

Stayed at the 71 Nyhavn Hotel for 3 nights. Copenhagen was nice, but the hotel was a nightmare. If You like waiting in line at the elevator or at the breakfast this is the hotel for You. One single elevator for 50 Rooms. Expensive breakfast(150DK pr pers.) Not staying there next time I go to Copen. more

Thank you very much for taking your time to submitting your comment. I am sorry to hear that you find our hotel “a nightmare”, I have never heard that word used about our hotel. Like all other big cities the summers are usually busy and so is our hotel in Nyhavn. We do our outmost to make our guests aware...

Pick up the room facing the canal. You won't need AC as it's cool enough during the night if you leave your windows open. The room with AC all face to the inner court, so no view and they got sunset exposure, making it warmer during the afternoon. more

great location too small bathroom, noisy corridoors, breakfast too expensive more

Thank you very much for taking your time to submitting your comment. I agree with you that some of our bathrooms are not large in size. We usually don’t hear that our corridors are noisy, so I do not know what have caused the noise. The comment about the price of the breakfast is taken into further consideration.

We stayed at 71Nyhavn hotel for 4 nights during a visit to Copenhagen. The location is wonderful, close to restaurants and bars that stay open until late. The staff was always very nice and helpful, specially at the reception. The room was small, but confortable and clean, lots of closets and hangers. We had a nice view of Nyhavn and... more

Location is good, but the hotel is average. If you compare with other 4 star hotels, hotel is below average. Room was spartan. Furniture was worn. Bathroom was straight out of Motel 6...bare counter with some no name soap/shampoo, severely rusted faucet. Very low class. My wife and I were upgraded to an "executive room" (we stayed in room 521)... more

Thank you very much for taking your time to submitting your comment. I agree with you that some of our standard rooms as well as the bathrooms are not large in size, and therefore we always try to do our outmost to upgrade our guests if possible. Concerning the windows I can assure you, that we regularly get our windows...
