Slightly unfair to write a review as the Palace is currently undergoing a full restoration, however THIS acknowledged I was still driven to review this. This impressive, multi-floor brownstone simply EXUDES faded glory and participation in history upon arrival. Despite ground-floor refurbishment work, the former glory of the foyer can be clearly seen. Staff VERy friendly and helpful. One downside... more

The Palace is currently undergoing renovations - the "lobby" is a mess, the elevators are terrible and the ladies room off the lobby was gross (no paper towels, just two cloth ones hanging off a hook). The location is not the greatest - very convenient to the Pedestrian street and the Copenhagen Lakes for a jog but otherwise it's only... more

My first impressions of this hotel were positive. I was aware that renevations were ongoing when I booked the room but as I was going to be staying in a room that had been done up I was happy enough. The room itself was very nice if a little small but the problems only arose once I went to go... more

Some warning first the hotel is going through some major renovation and some noise from the workers early in the morning. Lobby and part of hallway very shabby and old, but my room was brand new and very nice, toilet and shower/bath excellent and the room, nice big flat screen tv and everything you need for a pleasant stay. Cleaning... more

The hotel is on the best central location you can imagine: right at the Radhusplatz. The hotel will be converted to a 5-star hotel, but is 3-star now. I had a small renovated room under the roof. The new interior is elegant. Queen size bed, good desk, nice bath room. Big flat panel TV-screen with a lot of functions. Internet... more

I stayed at this hotel on the end of a business trip for a weekend. The reception and hallways are downright gross and shabby. I felt very uncomfortable as I went to my room - which also seemed like a 1 km walk from the lift. Then I get to my room which is the size of a matchbox and... more

We spent 2 nights at the Palace just after Valentine's Day. We had booked the (cheaper) unremodeled room, but were upgraded upon check-in to a remodeled room. The former room had a view over the Town Hall Plaza, the latter a view to a bleak central atrium. Having not seen the un-remodeled room, I'm don't know if we came out... more

Why did I book here given the less than warm reviews and my travel agent's very specific warning. Because of its location. It was centrally located for what I wanted to do: walk to the central train station (it's actually quite a walk when rolling a heavy bag), access to the Metro, get a bus to Klampenborg, shop and most... more

A 10 mins train journey from the airport and you're at Copenhagen’s Central Railway Station. A few hundred yards from the station and you're facing the Palace Hotel where you have all the bars, restaurants, shopping and other major attractions. Hotel reception is a little unwelcoming for a 4*or what starwood claim to be a five star hotel. The lift... more

I stayed in this hotel over New Year's Eve 2007/2008, until Jan, 2nd. Although the common areas are fine, I can hardly believe this can ever become a 5-star hotel as it seems to be the case when the renovations are over. I stayed in one of the renovated rooms. I booked a Superior Room, but was informed that (being... more
