Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The hotel is very well placed. The first room I was put in in the 5th floor was terrible, old and with bad maintenance. The second one, in the 4th floor was very nice, newly rebuild. But in both the inside temperature never passed 20,5ºC with heating at its most, what may be nice to a Scandinavian but terrible cold to people from other parts of the world. I had to stay with a jacket all time in the room !!! Breakfast was good but after a week the lack of options in cheese (only 2) and ham (also 2) made things difficult. Maintenance was poor as in both rooms I had a problem with the safety boxes that locked themselves and there was nobody to fix that in the first room for 3 days. I asked to move out. The app to "book to clean the room" never worked in the 3 times I tried to use it. Nobody clean anything the next day !!! I had to ask all times in the reception to have my room cleaned. Even thou one day housekeeping only changed the towels but do not clean the floor. Have only one attendant at reception at evening and night was unexpected in a hotel at this level. Nobody could sove a problem as they can't leave the reception alone. The evening before leaving, when the safety box locked itself with our passports inside, the first response from reception was to wait maintenance the next morning. In the other room I wait 3 DAYS and nobody came!!!!! I had to insist and the gentle attendant Christian came to the room when the shift turns and finally had it open. So: lack of staff, lack of maintenance, lack of options in breakfast and lack of room cleaning was not expected in a hotel at this level. Staff, on the other hand, was very helpful and they did their best to solve a lot of issues that was not expected to be happening. My thanks to Jr, Erick, Max and Christian, that helped us efficiently in different situations and always in a good mood. Staff at breakfast was also all nice and helpful but they can't do anything if there was a lack of stock.

Public transportation is easy to use in the city, and this hotel is at the center of everything. The hotel is close to city hall, which means you can hear the bells during the night if you open your window.

The water supply was cut off in the middle of the night, leaving the toilet and running water unusable. It was the worst experience. If it weren't for this, it would have been a 100% great experience. The hotel front desk let me check in early, which I was happy about since I was tired. The room was large and comfortable, and the facilities were good. The Wi-Fi was only provided by the old WPA2, and I couldn't connect to my MAC. I went to the front desk to ask for a security password, but they complained and it took me 10 minutes to get WPA3. Breakfast was a gorgeous buffet and I was satisfied. It would have been better if there had been no water outage.

Booked Junior Suite with three beds. Ended up having 2 actual beds and an crappy extra bed. Bathroom has no heating so the floor is icecold, and your showers will be fast. There is a towel dryer in the bathroom, but it does not work. On the other hand, they have kindly added a sign next to it, that says it does not work. Minibar was empty. No charging possibilities near bed. The sofa in the livingroom-area is so dirty, that you might catch something just by sitting on it. Complained about the sofa at the reception, and was promised that it would be cleaned on the next day, but it wasn't. Location is suberb and staff nice.

I got a sloppy impression from Scandic Palace. Nothing major but several little things - the extra bed we had paid for was not in our room upon arrival (even though we checked in late), the room was not cleaned during our stay, etc. I woke up at 5 o’ clock every morning when the alarm set off in the neighbouring room (don’t think anyone stayed there, yet the alarm rang for a good 20 minutes or so). Disappointing breakfast for a Scandic hotel. All this said, ok for 1-2 nights and great location for Tivoli and Strøget.

The hotel is as central as you can get it, kinda pricy for Norwegians (because of the weak NOK), but an okay hotel. You have to prepare yourself for noise all day round, but ad I said, its kinda what you can expect when you have a hotel in the middle of everything. The staff is really nice, unflrtunately we had some neighbours that were loud and frequent of bed activities, and the staff helped us rebook and gave us an upgrade (woho). The walls are thin so even though our neighbours were loud you could also hear other people opening suitcases feks, so thats also a little minus. The first room (3rd floor) seemed renovated and new, and the upgrade (1st floor) were actually a little older as there weren’t outlets by the bed. Kinda frustrating to be honest, as we use the phone alot during the day for pictures, google maps etc… The breakfast didnt miss anything, and the chicken thing for your bread was SO NICE. We had a blast, even though some things brought it down, its an OK+ hotel :)

The location of this hotel was perfect. Close to the metro, main railway and lots of buses. Really impressed by their transport system, and it was cheap to use. But being in the centre it was also good to walk, so much to see and do. The hotel for the weekend was fine, the breakfast was nice and set you up for the day. The rooms were clean and adequate, decent shower and comfortable bed.

Went to Denmark to get married, and booked a suite. The room was clean and neat, yet the furniture in the living room were a bit worn out. They did not provide any conditioner, body lotion or similar items, which was a bit cheap ( since we payed a looot for that room). The schampoo provided were very poor quality, so be aware if you care about your hair. Bring your own stuff! BUT The staff are soooo friendly, helpful and quick to help whenever we needed something, and the breakfast was AMAZING! My husband said that it was the best scrambled eggs he ever had in his life, and he has eaten aloooot of scrambled eggs on hotels. The chefs really nailed the cooked breakfast, so applauds to them! The hotel is right next to the Copenhagen city hall, perfect for people who’s getting married there and it’s 30 seconds to a grocery store and one million restaurants. It’s right in the heat! Yet it’s quiet during night and you sleep very well!! Thank you so much, we loved our stay and will come back. ( with own shampoos haha ).

A beautiful hotel in an incredible location, do not hesitate to book your stay here and make sure you have the breakfast because it is superb. The friendliness of the staff throughout the Scandic Palace Hotel is exemplary but I must talk some more about the location and the views from our room overlooking the city hall square. Our son was married there during our stay and every amenity you could ask for in a city was literally on the doorstep.
