First, keep in mind that hotels are just flat out expensive in Copenhagen due primarily to the poor exchange rate. Nothing is inexpensive, including this hotel but it's cheaper than most. It's an old place, but that kind of adds to the charm. Breakfast in the morning is coffee, cold cuts and cereal, nothing special but adequate. The main feature... more

Clean, updated rooms in a very old hotel. Conveniently located; safe. Five minute bus ride to Tivoli Gardens, train station, Nyhavn, etc.; very friendly and helpful people; breakfast consisted of fresh coffee, fresh bread, delicious cheeses and cold cuts, jams, cereals, juice. A perfect spot for seeing Copenhagen. Reasonably priced. more

Don't stay at this hotel. They will rip you off. They are not very nice people. I called to cancel our reservation and got home to find that they charged me the entire stay. When we called them to cancel, they were very angry. I am trying to email them to solve this problem and they will not reply. I... more

Easy to find on Metro line direct to and from airport. Also on good choice of bus routes into central Copenhagen where there are many things to see/do without paying a central location price tag for accomodation. However the basic breakfast in bar area would put off many from returning even though it is now a smoke free area (still retains that... more

Due to last minute arrangements, we chose this hotel for its proximity to the main part of the city and bus route to airport. It's far too expensive for a two star hotel. in fact, it's not really a hotel: it's converted flats with a busy, smokey bar that doubles up as the dining area for breakfast. Breakfast itself is... more

We have stayed at the Hotel Amager at 29 Amagerbrogade twice in a period of three years. This is a modest 2 star hotel wonderfully located on a main street with bus and metro stops close by that go directly to center city and to the airport. The rooms are clean, with bathrooms, and with TV's with extensive satellite converage.... more

Bus 2A and 5A stop in front of the entrance and take you to the city center in about 5 to 10 minutes (so walking is no problem either). Hotel is o.k. and clean, helpful staff.. Breakfast is basic. more

Stayed at this hotel for a weekend. It is in the suburb of Amager which has a direct bus link to the airport as well as a metro station with quick access to the city centre. The hotel has a bar on the ground floor which serves breakfast and snacks during the day. The rooms are a little old fashioned... more

First the pros for Amager Hotel 1. Good location - pleasant 10 - 15 minute walk into town 2. Frequent buses into town and to airport from bus stops outside the hotel 3. Very friendly/typically Danish jokey staff though there never seemed though there never seemed to be more than 2 of them. 4. Rear rooms are quiet - not... more

A well run friendly hotel that is relaxing and easy going, nicely located for the city centre yet away from the hustle and bustle. Good variety at breakfast and as much as you like, have stayed here many times. more
