This I must say is the most horrible stay I've ever had. To get my point across I'll make a list: 1. When I arrived there was a change in shifts at the reseption. This for some weird reason meant that I had to wait for check in for about 20 minutes (thats not so bad, but still kind of unreasonable). I found out that they only took cash as payment (as most hostels do, my fault) so therefore i needed to go withdraw some. 2. When I came back there was 3 people in front of me in line filling out papers. I said I wanted to check in and the guy gave me the check in papers. I filled them out and said "here you go" in a friendly manner. The reseptionist then proceded with spewing out the line "there is a line, you just dont get to skip it, there are people in front of you". I didn't see that one coming as i clearly didn't urge him to take mine before theirs so i was just plainly shocked. Beeing the patient guy that I normally am I of course waited. 3. The next half an hour I stood there still, not speaking a word, just observing the guy. And I have to say, the lack of professionalism and customer service this guy had, I still can't fathm how he even got his job. He was rude to the guys in front of me, and didn't care about them at all. 4. When they had gotten their rooms, and all were good, it became my turn, or so i thought. The guy then started to pace back and forth, swearing and doing nothing to help me. He had done a mistake with the guys before me and they needed to change rooms. He got them and sent them to the right room. And I assure you, up until this time he didn't even look at me, much less speak to me. 5. THEN finally it became my turn (again), or so I thought.. He took my paper (the normal name, nationality, passport nr) and proceeded to slam away at the keyboard. That's good, finally I thought. But no, I was yet again mistaken. The hostel was a public city hostel so naturally there was a lot of traffic in and out of the building (even at this hour, at half past 11). Every time some girls came in, he just had to comment and get his game on, instead of helping the cutomer in front of him. Some of the girls sat down and he started talking to them (didn't touch his keyboard). After some time (maybe 5 minutes), he stood up, snapped my 200 note that I placed on the counter, said it was 141 krones and gave me the change. I got a note with the room number and he explained how to get there. I get to the 12 bed room (even though i booked a bed in one of the larger rooms), and the air was excruciating. It was dirty and claustrofobic. I just got to bed and slept with my clothes on (didn't want to catch something). 6. I got up the next morning at 9 ish (checkout at 10) and went to go get out of there as quickly as possible. When I get to the reseption I see out the window and the reseptionist went out for a smoke (normally that's cool). About 15 minutes later he came back and said ceckout was good (this is not the same guy as the night before, this one actually had manners). Well done, this is the only positive mark you are getting from me. 7. My stay is over and im never setting foot near that filthy, unfriendly and unproffesional place ever again. And I urge everyone else to STAY AWAY. It wasn't even that cheap either.…
