- No much choice for breakfast, - a lot of noice in the hostel - rooms aren't cleaned every day + good location + enough space in the room! #804: bulbs near the bunkbed don't work! more

A general problem with Copenhagen is that it is extremely expensive compared to the world's other capitals. And this hostel is also very expensive, but I doubt you can find much better in Copenhagen for the same price. It is a 10 min walk from the main shopping streets and is very centrally located in relation to the city's tourist... more

The staff at reception when I arrived at lunch time were rude, pretty unhelpful, told me I had to wait over an hour to check in, didn't give me any information about amenities in the hostel eg as to where the kitchen was, laundry etc. The bed linen should be included in the price of the stay. Then I eventually... more

The hostel is in a great Central location, only a short walk from downtown, Tivoli Gardens, Central Station and Christianhavn. The hostel is very large so expect lots of people in the bar and buffet area at breakfast time. The dorm room I stayed in was mostly clean and bright, although it would've been nice for the bathroom to be... more

Stayed here with my rowing team mates for the world outgames - the hostel quickly became dubbed "Cell Block H" If we weren't with people we didn't know well and liked then this would have been a living hell. We had a package deal so on value it wasn't too bad, but in comparison to other hostels I've stayed in... more

I stayed at the Danhostel Copenhagen City for 8 nights, since I was in Copenhagen for the World Outgames. Together with some mates from my hockeyteam we shared a room. We were with four, but rented a room for 6 personen. We were glad, we slept only with 4 in the room. It was hot (no air conditioning). The bathroom... more

Horrible experience do not trust the 5 stars! Incredibly expensive, bed sheets and towels not included, pricey breakfast and internet. But the worst was that I booked a bed on a female dorm, my confirmation said 1 female and dorm room. Without anyone telling me they placed me in a mixed dorm (or so they said later on because I... more

unless you are 4 or 3 person you have no reason to stay in this hotel. We paid about 110 eu per day which is expensive for a hostel, furniture was the minimum you can get and there was no pair of towels as there is even in the cheapest hotel in the world. The worst is that check out was 10am... more

6 Girls stayed 1 night at the hostel - room was clean and functional. However from the labyrinth style hallways I guess all the rooms were very similar. I agree with other comments re: cosiness, it doesn't have any! But what do you need for one night? However, it was handy for us and enabled us to access Christmas market... more

I was on a student trip with a group of about 50 persons and slept in a room for 6. We found bed bugs in our room and complained about them in the middle of the night. We got practically no sleep and had to freeze all our luggage when we got home so that the bugs wouldn't spread to... more
