We picked this from the lonely planet - and after one night, we had to leave. We called for a rate/resrvation and was told 545dkk. But the time the extras were added - towels, linen and a 100dk charge for not having a 'member card' it all came to over 850dkk - around US$170 (which is cheap for Copenhagen). For... more

Basic room, clean, pretty small but not untypical of hostels. Bathroom.shower wet-room - do things in the right order :o) Double private room had bunk beds - not ideal as we had taken double duvet cover (sleeping bags no longer allowed). Good central location and associated with a really nice bar and cafe. Was a very expensive room, but it... more

Clean modern hostel, superbly located in Downtown Copenhagen - great for a city break. The hostel is close to many tourist attractions, sights, shopping, restaurants and most importantly for backpackers, close to the main Copenhagen city train station, Central Station (10 min walk). Although you do get hit with several charges before you even get your keycard. Note - there... more

I stayed at this hostel for one night in a room with private bath. If you want a fancy hotel dont book this place but for a hostel it is really nice. The rooms are relatively new and very clean but both room and bathroom is really small so for a longer stay it might be problematic. The hostel has... more

Copenhagen is an EXPENSIVE city, don't underestimate how much you will end up spending on a short 2-3 day trip there. Budget accommodation options are few and far between, and quality for what you pay could end up being questionable. Having said this, the Danhostel Copenhagen Downtown was nice enough for what you pay, but be prepared to pay for... more

a beautiful newly constructed hostel beside the river. The hostel is very clean & it is very much liked by the customers. The cafeteria downstairs is very good and you get a very good food over there. And you can have your breakfast on paid basis. But the hotel i feel little bit expensive.. more

Just arrived home from an excellent stay in copenhagen. Location and friendlines off the staff is excellent. Off course this is not the best hotel in town, but the location is perfect, the staff is friendly and the price is low. As a budget stay in copenhagen, this hostel is perfect. more

The Downtown is about 500 metres from Central Rail Station. It rates itself as 3 star but I think that's a bit much. I give it a 2 star. We had not stayed in hostels before but booked this to save costs on our trip. On opening the door to the room, my wife's first comment was "Oh MY God".... more

Ok, maybe Copenhagen Downtown is the less expensive place you can book in very expensive Copenhagen, but; 1. It has no laundry or kitchen facilities. 2. Toilets & bathrooms are not getting cleaned often enough. (I believe they have them cleaned once every two days). 3. Double bed rooms are smaller than prison shells and not so clean. 4. The... more

Great location. Walking distance to train station and downtown. One of the best hostel beds i have tried. but you have to rent their bedsheets and linen. and if you are not a HI member it all adds up to be a pricey option. good personal lighting for each individual bed. No obvious signage outside. look out for the carpet... more
