A welcome change from the typical big city hotel, this country inn, one of a series of 40 Countryside Hotels located in Sweden, is centered around a pair of championship golf courses nestled along a picturesque lake in the south-central part of the country. Our room was located in one of several out buildings, and though a bit small and sporting twin beds, was comfortable and adequately furnished. The restaurant, located in the main building (pictured) is situated on the ground floor and offers a beautiful view of the lake, and facing NW, provides a splendid view of the sunset (albeit well after 10:00 pm in this northern latitude). For dinner we splurged and went with the recommended five-course meal off the limited menu (what the heck, we're on vacation) and though very good and portioned about right, seemed a little pricey, even by Swedish standards.
