We booked a harbour view room a few weeks in advance and lucked out with getting what we found was one of the best rooms in the entire hotel. Room 601 is a one-bedroom sweet with a balcony and spectacular view. Great breakfast and staff made for one incredible stay. more

The Strand is one of the best hotels I've stayed at anywhere. Just make sure you get a "premium" room overlooking the water. The standard "inside" rooms aren't worth the money. The summer and weekend discounts are substantial, making this hotel excellent value if you get the right room! Can't recommend it enough! more

The hotel is close to all major attractions, in a charming area of the city. I had a very comfortable business-type room with nice sea view. The only downside was the noisy ventilation system which could not be shut down at night. more
