I stayed at the Lord Nelson for two nights in October 2011. The hotel has a highly developed nautical theme right down to the floors having deck names. Every detail in the hotel has been thoroughly design to give a ship-like feeling. The place is dripping with atmosphere and is very cosy. Staff was very friendly and nice. The location... More

The Nelson, located in the nicest part of Old Stockholm, Gamla Stan. It´s the narrowest hotel building in the city, less than six meters wide. Rooms are accordingly small. But really nice! Pretty woodwork, faultlessly clean, nice breakfast and staff, maritime interior. Quaint, but not corny. Stayed there a couple of times when visiting Stockholm the last few years, Always... More

This tiny hotel is right in the most central part of Stockholm, walking distance from public transport and on a pedestrian street dense with shops and bars/restaurants. The rooms are small but very cozy, the place resembles an old ship and is well looked after. Good continental breakfast. Good reception desk service. More

Just like on a real ship, the rooms in this nautical-themed hotel are small. So what. Don't stay in the room when you're in Stockholm! Staff was very friendly. Breakfast was just OK. Best benefit is location. Less than two blocks from the palace and about five from the metro. More

Those of us who stay in a range of different hotels in different countries would probably struggle to remember details of them a few months down the line. I’m certain that one hotel everybody will remember will be this one – and in my case it will be for all the right reasons. Those that stay there with an up-front... More

A small hotell in the centre of Stokholms "Gamla Stan", the Old City. The central location is the only thing this hotel has going for it, besides that the rooms more resemble stuffy cabins and the extremly hard beds are mere bunks, not recomended for anybody over normal hight. Maybe OK as a cheap and central B&B, definitly not OK... More

I think you either love or hate the Lord Nelson hotel. I found it charming, but the rooms are incredibly small - even for Stockholm standards. Mine didn't even fit a bedside table and it took me a few minutes to find the wardrobe. The bathroom was basic and so was breakfast. My window looked into some girl's kitchen, which... More

Great location in the old town (Gamla Stan). Unlike some, we found the double room big enough. The breakfasts were varied and plentiful. The staff were all polite and helpful, especially when we were left stranded at the airport by BA on our journey home. Although they had no room for us, they found a room at their sister hotel,... You cannot fault the location of the Lord Nelson Hotel, on Gamla Stan. However it is the tiniest, most cramped place I have stayed, and at the price, not really worth it. Rooms were miniscule and extremely stuffy; lots of naval guff everywhere; an extremely average breakfast, though the service was generally good. It's very old-school and old fashioned, but... More

The tiny room was a suprise but everything needed (bed, bathroom, tv) was available and the marine decoration theme in the hotel was very pleasant. The personnel was very friendly, breakfast delicious and the free sauna was a very enjoyable experience. The sounds of live music from the old town streets were entertaining:) More
