It was our first trip to Stockholm, but we have family there, and they greatly approved of our hotel’s location. We arrived by ferry from Helsinki, and a bus can take you to the island in 10 minutes or less. A cab to the airport was 350 SEK and you need about 35 minutes to get there. The island of... more

We are now back from a lovely holiday in Stockholm. Stayed for 2 nights at Scandic Hasselbacken and we loved the hotel. Definitly the best hotel we ever stayed at in Stockholm (have before stayed at Ariadne and Sergel Plaza). We found ourselves to have a spacious family room (view to the Circus) and even if it was 25-30 degrees... more

The Scandic Hasselbacken is situated right next to Skansen, the ideal destination for young families visiting Stockholm. The hotel and restaurant staff are friendly and helpful, our room was spacious, clean and comfortable and breakfast was extensive and delicious. The family-friendly restaurant is excellent and If you join the (free) Scandic frequent traveller programme you receive 20% discount in their... more

We stayed two nights in the Hasselbacken with a family group, for tourism in Stockholm. The hotel is on an island (Djurgarden) connected to other parts of Stockholm by road bridge, trolley, and (short) ferry. The Skansen open-air museum, Wasa ship museum and Nordic museum are all on the island, as is a park that was formerly the royal hunting... more

Scandic Hasselbacken is a fabulous hotel. We had a family superior room, which was gorgeous and plenty big for us (family of four, two small children). The setting was quiet; the huge breakfast buffet, which was almost all organic, was such a treat (the Hasselbacken dining room is gorgeous); and the front desk staff were as helpful and friendly as... more

We were tempted to stay in a hotel more in the centre of Stockholm but are so glad we chose this one instead. Our room was spotless and the bed was the most comfortable one we have ever slept in - we had trouble getting up in the mornings! The staff at the hotel could not have been more friendly... more

We stayed here for a weekend in April. The hotel was a nice change from the typical, sterile Scandics. While not quite downtown (10 min by cab, 25 min by foot), the location in Djurgården was great. It was quiet and right next door to Skansen, Gröna Lund, Wasa Museum, and Junibacken. Both Mamma Mia and Cabaret (btw, go see... more

We stayed at the Hasselbacken for 2 nights. We got an incredibly good rate of 450SEK per night including breakfast. The room had modern decor - mostly black and gold finish and was on the large side. We were rather disappointed with the lack of tea/coffee making facilities and fruit trays. (which were available at the Scandic Continental). As mentioned... more

We stayed at the Scandic Hasselbacken on Djurgarden in August 2004. The location is perfect for families that will no doubt be visiting the Skansen open air museum/zoo/aquarium (less than 3 minute walk to main entrance) and the Grona Lund Tivoli Amusement park (about a 5 minute walk). There is a ferry that leaves from the end of the pier... more

I really recommend this hotel to all Stockholm visitors. It's not in downtown, but the location's beautiful, next to Skansen and the sea and it's very easy get to the centre by bus. The rooms are clean and beautifully refurbished, breakfast was great and the staff is friendly. more
