Clean Ikea-like design. Sumptious breakfast buffet (beware of the morning rush, when you might have to eat standing up, crowded around the bar!) Friendly staff, clean rooms, but SMALL. The Wallin was very nice. Clean throughout, comfortable beds, and a pleasant staff. Computer in the front lobby to check your email, and fortunately they have a sign on it to remind people to just use it for 15 minutes or less, since some people seem to think they are in their own living room and spend all day looking... more

The Wallin Hotel is a very good hotel 1 block from the main walking/shopping street and about a 20 minute walk to Gamla Stan. We stayed at the Wallin for 3 nights a few weeks ago. It was a good hotel - our twin room was comfortable and clean. You could eat as much as you liked at breakfast (large hot or cold buffet - none of your "you're only getting a coffee and croissant" stance here) and the staff spoke very good English... more
