Very nice situated and interesting hotel, being an old prison! We tried two different room types: Double bed first night (which was a rather small room) and a swingbed room for the second night (which was even smaller). But what can you expect from a prison cell? It was fun! Bed linnen and towels were up to a very good level and so were the hotel service, bar and other common areas. Breakfast was OK too! Very recommendable if you are not extreamly claustrophobic.

The transformation from prison to hotel has been carried out to create a most excellent place to stay. In Stockholm, they have retained the notion of good customer service too. The location was ideal for where I needed to be but this place is very well appointed and in close proximity to public transport. The breakfast also lived up to the hype that I'd read. Very recommended.

We had a great time based here in Stockholm a week or two ago. Slightly tucked away, but fun and quirky place. We were comfortable and well looked after. Ate here one night and enjoyed that. Great breakfasts. All very good.

I cannot praise this place highly enough for a good summer break in Stockholm. It is near the city but located on a forested island with beaches and flowers everywhere. Staff are friendly and attentive. It has been decorated beautifully while still retaining its history. They have a great place to leave your luggage if you arrive or leave early. The breakfast is wonderful. Need comfortable and a huge bathroom. Ok, so there is no air con in the rooms but an open window works fine. No idea how it is in winter but for a summer break this is great.

What a unique place to stay. Brilliant experience. The kids loved the novelty. Nice clean, modern and comfortable rooms. Friendly staff. We hired bikes from the hostel and enjoyed that. We also used the kitchen each night. The exhibition on the history of the hostel was interesting. The beach was nice and the whole Island it is on its lovely and green parkland. You could hire kayaks just outside the hostel. It’s easy to get to and is close to the centre. Would highly recommend.

If you need to spend the night in jail, make it Langholmen. The staff was very friendly, there is luggage storage and the bed very comfy. If you didn't know it was a former women's prison you would just think it was a cool hotel. Plenty of food choices for breakfast and walkable area.

Originally a prison that was beautifully converted to a hotel. 2 of us spend 3 days in bunkbed cell, but suggest a twin bed so more comfortable. Must take sub to downtown ortaxi, but not too bad (10 min walk to station). Facility immaculate with a great breakfast. Nice nistalgic place .

We--a family of four, kids age 9 and 14--stayed here for four nights. We had a family room with two bunk beds. The beds were comfortable, room was clean, spacious bathroom. Lighting is a bit dim. Breakfast buffet was excellent. Is about a 10-15 minute walk to the nearest Metro stop, which made returning to the hotel before dinner out again a challenge with the kids, but this is my only "complaint". All in all an excellent and affordable option for families. We didn't explore the island as it was early spring and everything was closed down.

I got a covid positive test just before my visit to Stockholm. Since, I have been in bed recovering. The hotel staff decided to hold the whole fee for the stay. Illness is no longer a reason they accept for proper cancellation. This is bad business practice, although the hotel has good reviews, it appears that they no longer care about the security of their guests. It's a shame, I hope to visit Stockholm soon, and I will be avoiding this kind of bad business.

We used this converted prison as our base for a week in the city. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The cells are cosy for one with a very comfortable bed and nice en-suite bathroom. Breakfast is an extensive buffet with something for everyone. There is a museum in one of the corridors, but the whole place is very interesting. The hotel is about 5-10 minutes walk from the metro and a short walk from a number of restaurants . We dined in the hotel restaurant one night , the food was very good
