Considering this is the only hotel in Mellerud, Sweden, it’s hard not to decide to stay here if visiting this small town on Lake Vanern.
Nevertheless, it is defiantly a nice hotel at a fairly reasonable price. The distinguishing feature, however, has got to be its dining area and adjoined bar. Both are designed with deep, and rich mahogany wood floors and brass accents throughout. The lighting in both the dining room and bar are defiantly discerning and of high quality.
The dining room has an elevated ceiling, with balcony seating looking out into the main dining area. Large picture windows within the dining area allow plenty of sunlight in and give a nice view looking out.
Breakfast is typical Scandinavian fare and is complementary when staying at the hotel.
The rooms, themselves, are above average in size, with thin carpet, a tv in a console, an armoire and beds that are moderately comfortable. Overall, the rooms are very basic...
