The location could not be better, right on the avenue! But the Hotel is old and I dont recommend this hotel in the summer period, the rooms are very HOT and there is no aircondition! I prefer staying in Scandic Rubinen while in Gothenburg. Hotel has a nice cosy athmosphere, comfortable rooms with nice "red theme" (all have different name that has something to do with colour red), good lobby service (internet, kiosk and bar), extremely friendly staff, great location by the Aveny and terrific ecological breakfast. We liked the rooms -- a bit tight for closet space but cozy plus free internet. REALLY nice breakfast buffet with very welcoming staff. Only problem was the two bars across the street and just below my 3rd floor room -- Thursday, Friday, and Saturday night the crowd spilled onto the sidewalks and were rowdy past midnight. more
