We stayed in Scandic Kuopio because of the Puijo ski games. It was very nice hotel with a great location. Excellent spa and pool area. The staff was extremely friendly and rooms were ok. Free internet worked well. The only thing missing were the athletes :((

In general this hotel is good place to stay, if you compare other european hotels. It is a little bit old, but I also started to like it. Free WLAN, good service for business traveller, environmental issues considered and nice breakfast. The location is not next to marketplace, but in Kuopio everything is close anyway.
