Stayed here for a week in Feb 2013 on the Exodus Winter Wilderness trip. Clean comfy warm rooms, great food, amazing location, top activites and great guides. It is expensive and if on the exodus package be aware of the optional extras that cost a lot for the real fun stuff... but it is worth it!

We spent a week at Basecamp Oulanka in winter and loved the place. The place is basic but caters for your needs perfectly. I actually cried when we had to leave, one of the best holidays ever. Perfect location overlooking the frozen lake and on the edge of the national park. Eki, Teemu and all the team made us feel really welcome great chats over a 'bear beer' on an evening and the food was fabulous. Can't wait to go back soon!
