Good Hotel. Wonderful view of the lake. Great cab availability even during peak morning hours. The jogging track around the lake is superb. The city centre and station is a tram ride away. The hotel also has a great gym and an indoor pool. more

The hotel offers very good quality service with quite big, modern and comfortable rooms. The location is central, next to Toolonlahti Bay and park, and the Opera, but to get in to the very heart of the city, you need to take a tram - or walk 10-15 minutes. more

I stayed at this hotel on three separate occasions during October and November 2008. On each stay I was upgraded on check-in (I am an IHG Priority Club member) and the rooms provided were of a consistently high standard of furnishing and maintenance. Call it whatever … but if you are ever in Helsinki and there is some big event like a convention; steer clear of the Crowne Plaza. The Management of the Hotel allowed security to turn the place into an intimidating and very stressful environment of x-ray scanners and security guards everywhere -- in the hallways, elevators, entranceways. First stay with this hotel but I will come back. Close to shopping and across the street from the opera house. Check-in was fast and hasslefree. Room was small but stylish and generally clean - though I had to ask Housekeeping to clean the toilet again. This should not have happend and hence no excellent rating. Besides that, all ok... more

My recent stay was a disaster with a filthy bathroom and unclean living area in the executive club room. On complaining I was moved to only a standard room but had to call the front desk again as there were no amenities and the power sockets in the room did not work, but I had to stay in that room... more
