Definately a great hotel with everything under one roof, their are 4 restaurants, bar casino and a health club. The rooms are a brilliant size, clean and well equipt. Nomen est omen but not in Hotel "President". This hotel is a bit dingy and looks old at least at eighth floor where I have been twice now. The location is perfect and people have told that there is a reasonable sauna at the hotel. Good for one or two night stay in Helsinki. The breakfast service is always crowded. more

A somewhat tired but centrally located hotel. If you stay here, you do not need a car. Several attractions and shopping close by. Parking in the hotel garage is quite expensive at 29 Euro per day. The room was amazing, the bathroom excellent, even the food was good. The location for a single older traveller was a bit of an excercise from the station to the Hotel...dragging a suitcase over cobblestones plus carrying a small bag isn't my idea of fun! The hotel has a really good location in the center of Helsinki, and next to the massive Kamppi mall. The main bus station, metro station and railway station are nearby. The rooms are rather small and a bit run-down, but nothing too bad. The hotel is not cheap, and it is definitely the central location that you are paying for. more

It's definitely an expensive city Helsinki. The rooms in the Presidentii are very clean and sober. The Hotel lies in a quiet area in the very center of Helsinki. Sauna is very pleasant and also the Tapasbar which serves you also in the late evening. The staff is helpful but I've seen better. Big plus goes to the breakfast buffet... more

Stay at the Presidentti for only one night, as had an early train the next morning. Excellent location from the train station, maybe a 5 minute walk. Friendly English speaking staff, and room was clean with all required amenities. Given the wooden floors, it can be quite noisy, so I would suggest earplugs for light sleepers.
