I travelled many times to Helsinki for business already, this is the first time I stayed in a hostel. The Eurohostel is quite in the centre, from Stockmann you get a Tramride for approx. 5-10mins which will take you directly in front of the hostel. So the location is good, central, an even close to the docks. The really amazing... more

We stayed in this hostel for 3 nights and were very impressed with everything there. The check in area was light and modern and the people behind reception were very helpful and pleased to answer any questions you may have. The rooms were of a reasonable size with 2 single bed, a wardrobe, table and chairs and shelves. They were... more

We stayed in this hostel for 4 nights in the middle of May 2009, and it was everything I expected and more! It is within walking distance of the harbourside market place (fascinating for bizarre wooden cups, things made out of antlers and real fur accessories) and for those less inclined for the exercise, the tram (number 4 I think)... more

I spent just one night at the hostel. Easy to find, it was conveniently placed next to the harbor. I got a double room and it was very clean, nothing spectacular but nothing to complain about either. The staff at the reception weren't very friendly and almost reluctant to help. Did not have breakfast here because it is more expensive... more

This was a very affordable hostel but our room with a double bed was extremely small (but clean)! We basically ghasped the moment we opened the door the first time. Toilet was clean but had a pretty large hole in the door (you could see people on the corridor through it) which made it really uncomfortable. Breakfast was very tasty,... more

The Eurohostel is not in city center but convenient to the harbor and tram stop is just a few meters from the door, number 4 best for trip straight to city center near train and bus station. Not hard to get to from airport either, 615 bus to train station then short walk to tram stop (one at Stockman's is... more

Stayed here for 2 night in December with my boyfriend, perfectly acceptable place, we stayed in the 'new bit' no smell of cigarettes as some reviews suggest, very clean etc. I was a bit dissapointed by single beds as I booked double but no big deal. I have now been in Finland for about 2 months and let me tell... more

I have stayed a night at Eurohostel Helsinki in the very end of May, 2002, actually, and our stay was spotless. We were a group of 10 students on a study visit to Finland, and had just the last 1.5 days in Helsinki. Well, all you can see on the photos of the property is (or at least was) true.... more

Stayed at this hostel when visiting Helsinki with some friends. It is very basic. There is pretty much nothing in the way of comfort, the toilets are a considerable distance away and smell bad when you get there. The showers in the morning are not very nice at all. There is also a good chance of noise. But Helsinki is... more

Eurohostel is just that -- a hostel. So if you want more than a basic room and a shared bathroom with moderate privacy, then this is not for you. I am a shoestring-budget traveler and I'm not fussy; I look for a central location at a low price, so this was great for me. The room was surprisingly large and... more
