The mattresses were terribly hard and I was left with a back pain for two days after that. They did give us an upgraded room after we complained, but the beds were just the same. Also the room was cold until they brought us a heater. I liked the breakfast a lot which is VERY important to me and the... more
I do know much about a hotel business, but I thought that star rating is always related not only to size of the rooms and equipment, but also to the services provided by the hotel. As few people already mentioned, Hilton Helsinki is not a brand new hotel, but this is the smallest issue, as from my point of view,... more
Hotel is situated in a good place and you have nice views if you get windows towards the sea. Unfortunately hotel needs a big face lift. You can find nicer hotels from Helsinki with more reasonable price. Brekfast wan't as good as it should be at Hilton... more
booked hotel through a discount agency.....paid about $110. we were disappointed with the location as it was not near any sights and there were few restaurants in the area... tram was just across the road so that was good. room was comfortable and bath was decent... food was outrageous in price....breakfast was nice.. neighborhood is attractive and there is water... more

(This was a Saturday) - Interestingly enough - another couple who were travelling with us and paid exactly the same... more
Although this hotel is suited more to business stops/meetings, my husband and I enjoyed our stay. It's not ideally located to the market square/old town if you're planning on staying for tourism, but there is a bus stop, tram stop, and subway stop about a two minute walk from the hotel and it's easy enough to find. Our room price... more
I lived there in early August. I agreed with the others that this is a dated hotel. However, the most problematic area is housekeeping. I never stayed in a hotel that the room was not cleaned at almost 5pm even I hanged out the 'Clean the room' tag. The more terrible problem is the room was not locked after the... more
I stayed in Helsinki for three days, and this was a great choice of hotels. Both a tram stop and the metro (Hakaniemi) are 200m away. Once there, it is a one minute subway ride to the train station and a five minute tram ride to the market square. I believe four tram lines stop near the hotel. The staff... more
