I have not personally stayed here, however I held my wedding here in August 2003.
Many guests did choose to stay at the hotel, and nobody complained, so I think the rooms are fine.
The main reason for choosing this place for a wedding (ceremony and reception) was the lovely secluded location by the sea (which actually looks like a lake). The hotel itself is a 1960s/70s concrete and brick structure which I disliked at first, but grew to like. The main restaurant area has huge windows and a large outside terrace. Some parts of the reception area did look a bit scruffy.
The hotel is easy to get to from central Helsinki - it is near the last tram stop on the line (Vuosaari).
There is also a lovely sauna by the water's edge, and a pier jutting out into the sea. It is all very typically Finnish - all the English guests took to the sauna / sea swimming like ducks to, er, water !
