We arrived Lahti, late at night, hoping to find a cosy hotel by the lake, but eventually arrived this hotel which was quite promynent, and decided to stay, We were surprised at the high price they charged us (130 euro) We payed much less in Helsinki and Kuopio for much nicer hotels. This was quite a nice hotel when it opened as a Scandic some fifteen years ago.Over the years I have stayed in this hotel once in a while and every time the rooms are more worn out than before. The sauna/pool area is still quite nice however, as is the restaurant and breakfast. This is one of the better hotels... more
Next Hotel salpaus is bit outdated hotel (wall-to-wall carpeting, worn beds) but if you look the price tag you'll find it a great deal. 76 euros/night compared to 100+ euros at Cumulus or Seurahuone in the city center is not bad. Parking and extra beds for kids were free-of-charge. Location is ideal: opposite to railway station, just along the entrance... more
The hotel is ok located, needs a 5 minute walk to the Lahti market square. Not the best placed hotel in the world. However, cheap compaired to other hotels in Lahti. However, you get what you pay for! more
This hotel has a great location, if you arrive to Lahti by train; it is only 100 meters from the station. Shopping streets are also closeby (Lahti is not such a big city anyway). The personnel at the reception was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great. Nothing to complain in the hotel rooms either. I can recommend this hotel... more
