The lobby and breakfast area were nice - breakfast included many organic and local products that were labeled in several languages. Our room had several stains on the bed, shower curtain, and bathroom ceiling that looked very ominous (was it blood ?!?!) There was no air conditioner and only one window opened a small amount. Clean and quiet although furniture a bit tired. Staff helpful. Good breakfast. Ask for room on 5th floor or above or you will feel like you are lodging in a basement, due to parking garage just outside hotel. We visit Turku often and previously we have stayed at Omenahotelli (rooms cost 55 euros, no breakfast). But last couple of times we have stayed in Scandic Julia since we found out that sometimes they offer great discounts.
