The hotel is very comfortable and has a great view of the mountains. The staff is the best part, they are all really nice people and make you feel like home.

This hotel is a school in winter and that's obvious at the moment you enter. But it is fine! Good room, big, clean, good bathroom. There's nothing to do in the neighborhood so have dinner before you go to the hotel. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant which was fine.

Around 40 mins drive to Myvatn. Little bit too far. Room basic but all good. The staff are kind and helpful.

We personally think that staying in Edda Hotels was the best choice in Iceland - better than private accommodations. The rooms are big and so are the bathrooms, simple furniture, very clean - excellent breakfast. If you stay for several nights in Edda-Hotels, remember that you get a free breakfast for the third night and the fifth night is completely... More

It was like being room mates with my husband, it definitly isn't luxury and isn't sound proof. But it was good value for the money and a good enough place to stay during travels. A lot of out door activities in the vacinity and very close to Akureyri so it would be a good inexpensive alternative to staying in town.... More

First, you have to understand that Hotel Edda's are school dormitories that are used as lodging open to the public in summer. This is a sensible thing to do; why build separate hotels that are going to be empty all winter? My room looked like any college dorm: two twin beds, closets, a long desk built in under the window.... More
