Just spent 5 night at the Radisson Blu Saga Hotel. It looks old on the outside but is very well kept on the inside. The staff was excellent and most helpful. I ate at their fine dining restaurant (Grillio) on the top floor which was terrific. It was a bit pricey but all restaurants in Reykjavik are more expensive than... More

Spent the week between Christmas and New Year here. Great hotel fairly close to the centre of Reykjavik. We had a junior suite overlooking the impressive Hallgrímskirkja, the room was very comfortable and easily accommodated two adults and two children. Food at the hotel was very good, but some of the food at the buffet was only barely warm. Staff... More

Arrived with a happy group of retired seniors from DNV in Norway after a refreshing visit to the Blue Lagoon. Everything was streamlined for us during our four/five days stay. This was "all inclusive" so we missed the opportunity to experience better restaurants in Reykjavik, but the hotel food was "value for money". We had no time to use the... More

Arrived 9 a.m. and was told check in at 2 p.m. but that they would try and clean a room and get us in quicker. Within an hour they had us in our room. They have refurbished the bathrooms which are quite new but the rooms themselves don't look like they have changed since the 60's. Ours was clean with... More

For reasons that escape me I was upgraded to a Business Class room when I checked in. I found the room spacious and comfortable and it had a nice view of the surrounding area. The Internet connection worked with no hazzle and the was a Nespresso machine in my room. Very nice indeed.

Hotel appears 1960/70s and could do with refurbishment. Several of the staff were not too friendly or helpful - it seemed they weren't particularly happy with their jobs. When I arrived in my room, I asked the operator for the room number of a colleague, and was rudely asked “What are you doing in that room?”! When I explained that... More

Looking for somewhere different for my wifes 40th, I booked this hotel via clever hotels.com and trviago. Three nights B&B for €320. Very reasonable. We landed Easyjet and our icelandic friends collected us took us up to the hotel. It was about 10am and we knew we were to early for check-in, but decided to give it a go. Alas,... More

A lovely new and clean hotel on the edge of Reykjavik. The staff were friendly, the room clean and comfortable, if a little small for two people. Lovely warm duvets. We had the buffet dinner which if you stick to salad and soup with a dessert if half price, very good value. Breakfast was also nice. The bar is small,... More

A good value for money hotel near, but not in the center of the capital. It provides nice accomodation for families with young kids, a rarity in these days. The hotel, though, is a bit worn out and bathrooms and corridors deserve to be refreshed.

welcome & staff were good. Room was comfortable & breakfast was fine. Conveniently positioned for either 10 min. walk to Reykjavik city centre or bus stop outside. Although we did not need it there is a large car park. The olt cementry is nearby, As is the National Reykjavik museum.
