This hotel is located a little out of the centre. It was about 15-20 mins from the Old Town, and across a main road. In decent weather, it is a pleasant walk, and it suited us to be away from the weekend's carousing in town. We also had good waterproofs, so the walk didn't really bother us whatever the weather.... more

This hotel is just perfect. The employees are always there for you and are really solution finding guys. If I had problems printing out the boarding pass for the upcoming flight home on the public computer, they didn't hesitate and let me use their computer at the reception. Additionally it is a very clean hotel with a superb restaurant and... more

After I read all the reviews about this hotel, i had some doubts - but before i got to Radisson Saga. Took the Flybus from Reykjavik hotel approximately 45 minutes from the airport. Flybus comes to a terminal near city centrum, and transfer passangers into several smaller shuttle busses and deliver the passangers to their hotels. Service was friendly, and... more

I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights. It is located 5mins by car from the centre and 20mins by foot. It is a walk through the residential district and it is south west of the city centre. It is next to the Main Museum and close to the main roads that lead out of Reykjavic to begin the Golden... more

My daughter treated me to a New Year Trip to Iceland as a suprise Christmas Present but the hotel tended to be a bit of a letdown compared to the other Radisson's I have stayed at. When we arrived after a three hour flight delay from Manchester it was 3a.m. but the reception was slow in checking us in. Our... more

Rooms are old and run down with no air con. They were cleaning the windows with pressure hoses the day we were there, makeing it very noisy with the windows open. The breakfast room is too small to cater for the guests, leading to sharing of tables and queues for breakfast. more

Our last night in Iceland was booked at the Radisson SAS Saga with my Radisson Gold Points. We were really looking forward to our stay, but it was just a total letdown. We had to wait 30 minutes for our room to be readied, even though we were checking in after the official check-in time. Okay, no big deal. We... more

I agree that parts of the hotel are looking a little tired and dated, but overall the place was more than adequate for our weeks stay in Reykjavik. The room was certainly large enough and had tea/coffee making facilities. The bathroom was fine. I don't understand the previous comment about the water smelling of rotten eggs. Perhaps that person has... more

Overall, Saga is a good, typical business hotel. The location could be more central, it a 15 min walk from the center of Reykjavik. Room was a good size and clean. Pillows were not on the level of 4* hotel, were totally worn out. Breakfast was good. And dinner was okay and reasonably priced in the downstairs restaurant (same as... more

Being a family of 4 (two adults and two children) wanting a family room, the possibilities are limited. But if you are looking for a family room, we can recommend Saga. Saga is 10 – 15 minutes on foot from the city center and in the opposite direction 15 minutes from the domestic airport. The hotel is a bit worn,... more
