The Cabin is about a half hours walk to centre of Reykjavik. The reception staff were helpful during the day. The night staff less so. The room was small but had an outside window which we needed to leave open at all times - very warm. The breakfast was the usual continental ham, cheese, eggs, rolls, toast and coffee. Walls... more

Hotel is recommendable, average standard hotel. For a three star hotel a decent enviroment, though the pricing is a bit high scale (from my perspective, frequently travel throughout Europe and US.). - internet at charge at lobby only! + unfriendly staff - or a bit stiff. In an extreme situation after an accident I have to say, they really tried... more

This is a modern hotel, with comfy beds, which is kept very clean with helpful staff. The breakfast is constantly replenished throughout the serving period of 6 to 10 which doesn't happen in most budget hotels. The evening buffet is useful to have as an option if you don't feel like going out, it's good value for money. I can't... more

We stayed here for 3 nights as part of a promo. We had a room each which was a blessing as the rooms are tiny and far too small for 2 people, but having our own room made what would have been an unpleasant experience perfectly fine. Staff were efficient and competent, the rooms were clean if spartan, the shower... more

We booked it through hotelclub.com, one double for 34 euro per night! It was even cheaper than all the youth hostels in Iceland! What's more, the fare included breakfast buffet! (There's cereal, ham, cheese, fruit, bread, yogurt, jam, toast, coffee, tea and juice!) About the room, it was very small but clean; (heard that they provide bigger room but with... more

We got Hotel Cabin through ebookers.com and were very pleased with the choice. It is not close to the city centre or the main bus station. But that is never a problem in Reykjavik as all tour operators pick you up from wherever you are in the city. Hotel Cabin was good for the price. The room that we got... more

The hotel does have small rooms, so you need to accept this before you book. The budget rooms have two twin beds and are exactly like a boat cabin! There is a table inbetween the beds with one chair. small wardrobe space and hooks for coats. TV has sky news and other local channels, bathroom was small but has clean... more

We stayed here for 4 nights in March on a good deal through Icelandair. When we arrived our room was like a dorm room: very small, two single beds against each wall separated by a bedside unit. The bathroom was equally small and smelt of damp. I complained about this and was moved to a much nicer room (using the... more
