The hotel itself is nothing fancy, but the beds are comfortable enough and it is clean. Siggi, who is downstairs most nights, is excellent and particularly helpful. The only problem I have with the hotel is this: breakfast is generally included, however, it runs from 8-10, and only cereal is available before that. Most tour companies will pick you up... More

Spartan, but very clean. Easy parking right in front of hotel. Location is within walking distance of all downtown sights. Simple, but good breakfast included. Check on the church, but don't feel obligated to buy elevator ticket (No one checks you!) Dine at Cafe Loki for Icelandic dishes at reasonable prices.

Nice good value budget hotel. Clean and well decorated, warm, comfy beds and friendly staff. Good position close to centre and harbour and parking. Breakfast is coffee/tea, juice, cereal, toast, cheese, cold meats, cucumber/tomato in a light pleasant civilised dining room. A bit like having breakfast athome. Good bathroom/enthusiastic shower. Party was 66 year old dad and 28 year old... More

Stayed in March. Hotel adequate, warm and friendly. More like a hostel but we got used to it and found staff helpful especially Jesus and Sirund who helped us 2 pensioners immensely..Breakfast plentiful cold buffet style. Would use this hotel again because of location and price.always felt safe even though the area looked run down. When using the lift stand on... More

After reading the reviews I can only say I was pleasantly surprised. The room was clean, warm and provided all that we needed for the short times we were in it. The staff could not have been more helpful, booking our trips, return bus home. Breakfast was more than adequate to set you up for a days exploring. The excellent... More

After reading through several reviews of this hotel my sister and I (both senior citizens) were wondering what we would find. The hotel really is no more than a hostel but on saying that , the location was excellent, the bed comfortable and the breakfast good as far as we were concerned. Don't expect a hot breakfast but there was... More

This hotel is in a fantastic location, 5 minutes walk from the main shopping area with great restaurants less than a minutes walk away. The rooms themselves are not as small as I imagined them to be and with the range of things to see in and around Reykjavik you will not be in your room much anyway. I did... More

I go to Iceland regularly to see friends and have stayed in quite a few places. Iceland is generally expensive so to find something this cheap right in the center of town was great. First things fist, the rooms are small, but in Reykjavik and Iceland there is so much to see and do that you are only in the... More

We chose this hotel based on price and location. If you are looking for luxury then forget about this place. The rooms are basic but warm and clean with comfortable beds, and the ensuite bathroom (shower only) is perfectly adequate. The continental breakfast was better than expected, which was very welcome given the prices in Iceland. The hotel is in... More

Well located near to Reykjavik 101 downtown district where all the bars and restaurants are. The 'hotel' is a bit run down and is quite basic but for the £15 we paid pp pn we thought this wasn't too bad, especially given how expensive Iceland is. The room was nice and warm with the two beds being pretty comfortable after... More
