Iceland is incredibly expensive, so I didn't expect much when I booked a pretty cheap place, but the Gardur Inn was perfect for what we needed. it was very clean, the breakfast was great, the room reasonably big and the staff friendly. it is no-frills but it is comfortable and welcoming, and only 5 minuutes from the centre of town.... more

good, basic but clean hotel in a very central, but quiet position. Fridge & TV included in the room and a free safe in reception. Only downside were the mattresses were a bit soft. Friendly owners. Breakfast was help yourself, cereal, bread (& toaster), crackers, cheese, cold meats and a coffee/hot chocolate machine. Seemed good value compared to other hotels... more
