We stayed in the 1919 in mid. November 2009. Despite requesting a 'quiet room on a high floor' we were given a room on teh 1st floor. Friday and most especially Saturday nights were incredibly noisy - Reykavik is a party town and with a number of clubs in close proximity to the 1919 there is a significant amount of... more

Iceland was awesome, we had great weather in the 20 C - people are very freindly; lots of active things to do. Hotel is right in the centre of town - great location for restaurants and shopping. Almost all activities can be booked at the hotel and in Iceland, most tours will come by and pick you up and drop... more

Surprisingly, this hotel was better than expected. Travelling on business, but I will stay there again on a personal trip. Its a great location in town. Great for business trips and quick getaways. Probably not a great hotel to stay long term, but good all the same. Good service, no complaints. more

Stayed for 4 nights at the end of our honeymoon. The 1919 was much better located than the other Radisson, with most places within easy walking distance, including the shopping areas and quite a few bars and restaurants. The room itself was quite spacious but a little bare - probably modern minimalist design. It did look modern though. The bathroom... more

We booked this hotel through frequent flyer miles for 2 nights and 3 persons. We had reserverd an extra bed for 50 EUR/night in advance. The hotel is not luggage-friendly, as you have to first carry suitcases up a couple of stairs and then have to go through a non-automatic door. Front desk staff was correct but not very friendly,... more

I just returned from a 4 night stay with the Radisson SAS 1919 and was very pleased with the accomodation. The rooms are quite small, but they are very clean and have flat screen TVs, safes, and decent sized bathrooms (ours was shower only, no bathtub). The room itself is very simple with no frills, luxury appointments, or really decoration... more

we split our 10-day stay in reykjavik b/w hotel odinsve and radisson sas 1919. of the two, i have to say i prefer the 1919. while they are both similar in cost, hotel odinsve is not as centrally located as 1919, which is smack dab in the middle of downtown. the room at odinsve is also smaller, and feels much... more

Early February I travelled to Iceland for a long weekend to celebrate my partner’s 40th birthday. We had a perfect trip though the hotel could have been more comfortable. The staff were friendly and efficient. The Hotel is very central and its surroundings pretty quiet with the port only metres away. The decor is pretty standard and cold for a... more

This was the second hotel that I stayed at while in Reykjavik. The first being the Centerhotel Thingholt. Pro's: the price was very good for what you get. the hotel is well maintained and well designed. My room was a decent size, as European hotels go. Staff was friendly. Things to watch for: it was a bit noisy during my... more

I often stay at Radisson hotels - you know what you get. I was a little disappointed by this hotel though. The location is good - within walking distance to the attractions. Small rooms, nice staff, food was ok but expensive. Fitness facilities were good, but no pool. No parking facilities. Not worth the money. more
