Small and cozy hotel in Reykjavík. Mixed style, kind of British. Very good breakfast. Loved the "icelandic lessons" with the owner! more

This small hotel is something in between Hotel and Guesthouse. Service is very good and so are the rooms, one different from the other, they are big enough and have a decent sized bathroom. About bathrooms: remeber that all over Iceland cold tap water is fresh drinkable and very good, hot water is from geothermal sources, so it smells a... more

The Hotel Phoenix is a small European type hotel. It is located in the downtown area so you can walk to many sites. It is clean and very comfortable. The owners are extremely helpful and accomodating and have a good sense of humor. Breakfast is included and it's delicious. I would defintely stay here again. more

We had a lovely stay at Hotel Phoenix in Reykjavik inJanuary. A really cosy and friendly place with little touches which made our trip so much more enjoyable than staying in a larger, more impersonal chain hotel. Good value for money, excellent service, great tips on where to eat well at a reasonable price- ask about 'Pots and Pans'! The... more

We loved Hotel Phoenix! As other reviewers have said, the Phoenix is more of a B&B than a hotel. If you're not into the B&B scene you shouldn't consider staying here. That said, this is a truly wonderful little place with the most amazing service. It's expensive, but so is everything else in Iceland. It is absolutely worth the cost!... more

They were always helpful if I needed information and also helped me booked excursions, which also saved me money. There is a lovely breakfast room which is... more

We stayed at Hotel Phoenix in April 2006 having read the other reviews of the Hotel on Trip Advisor. The hotel was absolutely spotless and the room had been done up to a very high standard with very good quality furniture and decor. The owners were friendly and very helpful and booked a number of trips for us which was... more

We just returned from our second trip to Iceland - and our second stay at Hotel Phoenix. Conveniently situated at the upper end of Laugavegur, Reykjavik's main shopping thoroughfare, and within a block of Hlemmer (one of the city bus stations) proved a perfect location to venture forth to an amazingly friendly and easy to navigate city. The hotel staff... more
