I stayed in a single room for a week and loved my stay there. The bed in my room was more comfortable than many beds at other hotels I've stayed at. The rooms, bathrooms, and kitchen areas were kept spotless. It was nice having access to a kitchen to store food in the fridge so I could fix some of... more

We highly recommend the Guesthouse Sunna, which we stayed, in July 2008. We first read about it on Tripadviser and it sounded like it was close to everything we wanted. We stayed on the second floor with our balcony overlooking Hallgrimskirkja Church. What a beautiful view. From the Sunna you can easily walk to all the shops, restaurants, grocery stores,... more

Accomodations in Iceland are expensive, for modest luxury. Thus, I opted to go for a simple, clean place with great service and found this Guesthouse on TripAdvisor. All the reviews are spot on! The rooms are clean, spacious, and bright. I first booked a studio (comes with private mini kitchen), but switched, as Hallgrimskirkja was getting refaced - July 08... more

I just came back from a 7-day trip to Iceland, using Reykjavik as my base to do day trips. I chose to stay at Guesthouse Sunna based on the excellent reviews of fellow travelers on tripadvisor.com. I'm happy to report that I was not disappointed. The guesthouse is no 5-star hotel, but the room I stayed in was clean and... more

I really enjoyed my stay here and wanted to stay for longer. Great location, helpful staff, spectacular breakfast included, which other places did not offer. Best of all, the rooms were warm, clean and quiet. We had access to a small kitchenette and made use of the free interenet in the lobby. I can not speak more highly of the... more

It sure is easy to see why Sunna Guesthouse is rated number one in Reykjavik. Certainly nothing fancy, but just what is required for a pleasant and comfortable.stay. I have been several times to this guesthouse and certainly will be back. (maybe just for the breakfast) Couldn't ask for more. Across from the spectacular Hallsgrim church. A short stroll to... more

stayed three nights, it was immaculately clean, great location in middle of it all, breakfast good, staff very helpful. use of a little kitchen, only annoyance noise of people arriving/leaving in middle of night but still recommend highly. Claire from Glasgow more

Stayed one night at Sunna on recent trip. Rooms were clean and bright. Front desk staff were pleasant and helpful. Good location beside imposing main church at top of hill. Not cheap at IKR 13,000 per night, but value for money given the expense of everything else. Recommended. more
