Through our 12 night stay the staff at Alba was warm and helpful. The guest house is very close to BSI bus station, 20 minutes walk to downtown, 15 minutes to kringlan shopping centre. Simple and delicious breakfast- fantastic bread, with french pressed coffee or tea. Would highly recommend it. more

We stayed at the Alba Guesthouse between 05th June & 8th June 2009. The place was very clean & the owners welcoming. The only real gripe I had was that there was just 1 shared toilet on the top floor. Its about a 15min walk into the centre of town & approx 5mins to the main bus station. No real... more

this guesthouse is only a 10 minute walk away from the city center. it is clean, warm, comfortable with fantastic staff who went out of their way to make sure we had a nice visit! when i return to Iceland, i will also be returning to this guesthouse!!! more

Nice guestshouse, the breakfast was lovely and they seemed very friendly. Free parking too. I'd put the walk into central Reykjavik at nearer 20 mins (unlike previous reviewer), but its a short cab ride if you cant be bother to walk. Bathrooms are shared but immaculate. I would recommend and stay here again, though more central options are available more

Stayed at Guesthouse Alba for two nights in a triple room. It's great! You can get internet deals, which work out extremely reasonable (important in Iceland). It's about 10 mins (slow) walk from the bus terminal and 10 mins (fast) walk into the city centre. Lovely breakfast, lovely decor, clean. Definitely recommended. more
