Stayed at apartment K with a friend for 4 days. We arrived Saturday afternoon. First of all, the location is not very clear, me and my friend had to walk a little bit in circles before finding it. The indication “In front of hard rock caffe” isn’t the best. When we finally found the place, there was no one in reception. There are some indications on the wall. You have to self check in (please bare in mind that there are two iPads, one for apartment K and the other for the other hotel). After this you get your room number and then you call someone to ask for a code of a safe, where the key of your room is. It feels a little bit like an escape room this process in all honesty. The apartment was very nice, has everything you need (coffee, salt, sugar, cutlery, iron board, iron, hair drier, dish soap, shampoo, conditioner and shower gel, so don’t bother to bring these things). However, I felt the apartment was Incredibly dark! Even when trying to increase the light intensity, it goes back to a very dim dark light, which is very bothersome. Luckily me and my friend didn’t spend much time in the house. The location is very good, central, but bare in mind that Reykjavík is very small therefore everything is very close anyway. There is a small 24/7 supermarket close to the apartment and you can park on the road ( but you pay for it, from 9am until 18pm). Is free on Sundays. Overall would recommended…
