We arranged the accommodation via our dive operator (who was very good) but badly let down. We arrived very late - about 4am in the morning due to not being able to get a ferry over during the Winter season. A cab picked us up, but we were unceremoniously dumped into the middle of a Marsalforn street and told it was 'over there'. It was absolutely chucking it down with rain, so with two big dive bags, a flooded street and pitch black, we struggled to find the entrance. Finally we did and should have known from the stairs up to our room (about 8 flights!).

We arrived, and just collapsed into bed, but I woke up less than an hour later, put my foot on the floor and it was soaking wet, so was the bed. Somewhere was leaking, so we decamped to the second bedroom and stayed in there the rest of the trip.

My husband was ill for some of the stay - he felt so ill, but the apartment was so horrible, he couldn't stay there. I would only go back to change before going out... more
